About The Artist

Sandy Hattan is a 25 year old artist living in Seattle, WA. She was born in Baker City and spent most of her childhood years in the small town of La Grande, OR. Instead of a traditional pre-school, Sandy spent her days as a 4-5 year old with her mom doing exercises from the book: "Drawing With Children". From a young age she was intrigued by the idea of using lines, shapes and colors to create imaginative works. As she grew, her passion and creativity for the arts grew with her, until her mom would often find her up until the early hours of the morning laser focused on finishing a drawing that "Needed to be finished now!"

Sandy started her art lessons with a book, but soon moved to lessons from local neighborhood artists and art classes throughout middle school, high school and college. She graduated from Whitman College with a BA in Biology and a near minor in Art. She now continues her journey through self-teaching and practice.

Sandy has won several awards at the local county fair and has completed a few murals in the city of La Grande, OR.
